It was August of 2012. A gorgeous sunny, pool-worthy day that most people around me were embracing. Instead, I stood under a fancy umbrella sweating bullets. I was talking to a shemale who’d happened to the party via another friend’s wife.
It didn’t take long for the looks to begin swinging in my direction. Shortly after, the feeler statements began prodding my soul.
“You almost seemed into that shemale, bro!”
That’s of course not a question, it’s someone hoping I confirm I’m “certainly not into shemale sex dating.”
So how do we handle shemale dating discrimination?
Well, not with kid gloves, that’s for sure.
Here is a list of my best tips in dealing with shemale dating discrimination.
Keep It ‘Begrudgingly’ Private
There is no doubt that keeping your shemale dating experiences private will help you avoid discrimination. But alas, for some, that’s the obvious option and now why you are here at all. In the case of privacy, using a shemale dating site helps conceal your desires and activity.
One reason many cisgender men want to avoid keeping their shemale dating private is because of pride. Why should they have to keep what they enjoy in consensual sex private? Another reason is, it can be difficult to conceal. Reread my example scenario above where I was merely talking to a shemale and people picked up on my vibes.
When you see a guy talking to a girl in a bar, you can often tell if he has a sexual desire for her. None of that changes when a guy is talking to a shemale in a casual setting.
Remember, People’s Opinions Matter As Much As You Allow
It’s an old school way of looking at life, but the fact is, you give value to what others think of you. You control the importance, not them.
You must learn to disregard people’s opinions of your life. When you do this, it doesn’t just help you get over shemale dating stigma, but also helps you succeed in so many other areas of your life.
People who are critical of what you like in a consensual relationship are themselves insecure. They are projecting their waning confidence on you. Its how they get by in life, by bullying others.
But this bullying is neutralized when we don’t care about their words or actions.
Turn Down Social Media Volume
Social media sites like Facebook and Twitter are ruining us. The more we allow our minds to become infected with these platforms, the more we feel divided, insecure, and worthless.
Cut out or cut down your social media use. It makes you paranoid. You begin to feel as though you’re “weird” for how you feel because everyone else on Facebook is “normal.” Don’t let these social media sites cloud your mind.
Eliminate Haters
If someone is always making cracks about gay people, or trans people, whether they know about your desires or not, eliminate them. If you feel you can salvage the friendship by talking to them about how you don’t like their discriminatory behavior, then do so. But otherwise, see them to the curb.
Having haters constantly demeaning your lifestyle will only serve to chip away at your self-confidence. You must stop that in its tracks. It’s a toxicity that inspires in unhealthy feelings.
Also, it can act like a disease. The more you allow it around you, the more it emboldens itself. Remove toxic people from your life and you’ll end up finding more positive connections in the world. The world is a big grand place, but it can seem awful small if you allow a few toxic people to infect it.
Report Hate Messages
Please report any hate messages you receive on Shemale Sex Date. While we do a good job scanning the site for intruders, we aren’t a perfect system. Occassionally the bad seeds find a way on our site. Report bad instances and we will take care of those issues.
Shemale dating discrimination harms self-confidence and breeds insecurity. We must take steps to reduce its negative effects on our lives. We aren’t “abnormal,” we just enjoy a more unique experience than many of our friends and family. Although we wish more people would find acceptance for others in their hearts, we remain a ways away from such utopia. So for now, it’s up to us to make our world a better place in spite of human stupidity.
